Suggest Treatment For Fever, Severe Cough And Excess Mucus In The Throat
My son is 6. He has had a fever between 101-102 for 8 days. He was diagnosed with the flu 7 days ago. Tamiflu didn t help. We are alternating Tylenol and ibuprofen. He had a chest X-ray that came back clear yesterday. He has mucus and a cough too. We ve been using his inhaler and nebulizer as needed. Does he need an antibiotic? My doctor won t call me back. I m frustrated.

Start on antibiotics Amixicillin and Clavulinic acid combination.. Start antipyretic and mucolytics too..
