Hi Doctor, My son is 31 years. he has a high feaver, sauthrought, back neck heart, and even he can t talk properly.he said when he talks it s very painful. he went to the doctor in the morning and doctor said he has meningities. he gave him a shot to his buttocks and some antibiotics.he felt good that time like 1.00 pm. and now he is getting the same symptoms and unconfort. he is now in orlando area in florida and very cold up there also.could you please give me some advice to take care of my son. and also what type of food good for him.Thank you doctor. please give me a answer ASAp. painful Mom.
If he has meningitis, he should be in the hospital for treatment, this is infection of an area of the brain.If this infection his present, he needs to go either to the ER or his doctor.
It is possible that he may have pharyngitis which is infection of the throat. The antibiotics are not going to have an immediate effect, it would take a few days before improvement is noted. He can continue the course of antibiotics given, rest, use fluids and take pain killers to help relieve any discomfort.
