Suggest Treatment For Fever, Soreness In Mouth And Ear And Sinus Pain

50 year old male started with extremed fatigue, then fever and ear and sinus pain was treated for ear infection with amoxicillin with in 2 days he developed sores in mouth and throat back to doc changed to cyprofloxin then had dark rust colored urine quick strep negative blood test negative for bacterial infection mouth worsening with lips swelling was told to stop antibiotic doing more test any thoughts?

Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, it can be due to antibiotics related side effects and stopping them was the right decision. Urinalysis as well as renal functions and liver function tests should be done. Drinking more water and choosing antibiotics after test dose or after skin prick test may be right approach to treat the sinuses infection. Steroids or anti histamines choice may be made by dermatologist after reviewing the lip swelling.
