Suggest Treatment For Fever, Stomach Pain And Lethargy In Children
Hello my question is in regards to my son he is 2yo and over the weekend he had a couple incidents where he vomitted we treated it as a stomach ache but as the week progressed he developed a fever 99.9-100.4 so we gave him fever reducer and it seems to have gone away but now he still feels warm to the touch but is reading 97.3 and at time clammy skin and is lethargic I m not sure what it is we cant get him to the drs till friday any help would be appreciated
Noted your history related to your 2 year old son having vomiting, fever and treated at home conservatively with available medicines but still has problems as mentioned. Since the problem is going on for a week or so, the cause is not cured and needs proper clinical evaluation and examination by a Pediatrician or a Pediatric Surgeon. Relevant tests of blood, urine and stool. X-ray chest and ultrasound of abdomen if required as the following things are common in children of 2 years. Enteritis. Abdominal nodes. Worms. All these things as mentioned above can help to get a proper diagnosis so that a proper management can be done. Better not to take a chance in a child of 2 years.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. T. Chandrakant, ENT and General Surgeon
