Suggest Treatment For Fever, Vomiting And Rashes All Over Body

2 and half yr old boy,has been sick for 4 dayz.Vomit up 3 times the first day, high fever for 4 dayz. Rash on ears and cheeks darker,slight rash on torso,legs and feet.Crying alot, has sensitive eyes, sayz they burn.Had diarrhea for 2 days now has not had any bowel movement in 24 hours.Urine is slowing down as well.Hes been drinking alot of fluids and eating very little, but has been eating.Has a stuffy nose, breathing through mouth alot.Wasn t sleeping well, crying in pain.Been giving Tylenol and ibuprofen. What could this be? Should take him to ER or wait to see doctor Monday? Please help confused care taker.

Hello,

A few probable causes of actuate fever, vomiting and diarrhea in a toddler are gastroenteritis especially viral like rota virus, due to bacteria like salmonella, food poisoning, giardia, antibiotic induced diarrhea, cow milk allergy, or toddler diarrhea. The most important complications are dehydration, and electrolyte imbalances.

As your boy has fever, vomiting, rash and diarrhea, you need to take him to the ER as soon as possible rather than waiting till Monday. He needs immediate attention. Please give ORS frequently to the child.
