my daughter who is 4 yrs. old having high fever around 101 - 102 F from last night. She is not interested to eat anything and doing vomiting [water] after taking any food. We have provided her 6.5 ml of paracetamol when the fever was very high @ 02:30am. Please suggest
Thanks for the query. Please give her 1dose of syp domstal 4ml and wait for 35-40 minutes before giving her any fluid or food. For her fever (more than 100 degreeF)keep giving her crocin/calool syp 6.5 ml which if needed can be repeated after 5 hours . Keep her in a cool room and if her fever crosses 104 then kindly do tap water sponfging all over her body besides her scheduled dose of calpol or crocin. Please give her home made soft foods like khichri/curd/bansna/poha/dal/dalia/custard or any other nutritious food she is willing to take happily. Hopefuly her vomiting will settle soon and her fever over the next few days. If she continues to have repeated vomitings inspite of all this it is advisable to take sn opinion of a doctor at the clinic.
