Suggest Treatment For Fever,cough And Runny Nose
my daughter is registering a 99.9 (apparently the first reading was 98.something, and the second reading 99.9) "fever" by way of ear-thermometer. is that anything to worry about? she's had a bit of a cough for two days, and a slight runny nose this morning.

These sound like trademark symptoms of common cold, for this we dont really suggest any antibiotics because it will get well by itself and antibiotics don't play any significant role in flu and common cold
if i were your doctor i would suggest her take
(1)An over the counter cough syrup(preferably not sedating)
(2) And an over the counter antipyretic(anti fever) it will control her pain discomfort for example acetaminophen tylenol 325mg thrice a day or brufen 200 mg thrice a day
(3) ati histamin in night ( as it causes sedation)
you didn't mention her age If she is below 12yrs medicines have to be given according to her age and weight accordingly.
Steam inhalation mostly works.
