Suggest Treatment For Fibroid In The Uterus

I have a large fibroid in my uterus that was shaved down by my surgeon. I was given general anesthesia. She was able to take out one-third of the fibroid. After I woke up, I had no pain which was wonderful. However, the next night, I began getting terrible migraines on the right side of my head above my ear. I took ibuprofen for the pain. When I went back to see her, she told me that general anesthesia would not have caused this pain. She said that the pain was probably due to muscular tension of my neck while I was on the operating table. I ve had surgery before, and have never had this happen. What are your thoughts on this?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

A headache is a relatively common postoperative problem, especially after general anaesthesia. I agree with you, doctor.

I recommend continuing using noninflammatory medication such as Ibuprofen. A headache will relieve in a few days.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
