Suggest Treatment For Fibroids In The Pelvic Area While On Hormone Pills
HI I GOT MENOPAUSE IN 2014. I LAST ONE YEAR I HAVE BEEN TAKING HORMONE PILLS FOR HOT FLASHES. ITS VERY LOW DOGES. RECENTLY SOME FIBROIDS HAVE DETECTED IN PELVIC AREA. ARE THOSE PILLS CAUSE OF FIBROIDS? CAN ANY MEDICINE CURE FIBROIDS? PLEASE GIVE ME SOME ADVICES. THANKYOU.
Hi, Welcome to healthcare magic. I am Dr Ramadevi Wani. I will be answering your concerns.
The pills that you are taking do not cause fibroids. They may have been there since several years. Since you had an ultrasound now, you have found it now. Fibroids are harmless muscle growths. You need not worry about it if you do not have any complaints. The fibroids usually gradually reduce in size during menopause as there is less estrogen in the body during menopause,
Get an ultrasound done each year. You need to get the fibroids removed, if they are increasing in size or if they are causing pain or bleeding I hope this is helpful. If you have further concerns, I will be happy to answer.
Best wishes, Dr Rama
