Suggest Treatment For Floaters In Vision

I ve been having some really odd things happen. It all started one day when i moved my eyes from looking down to looking up and noticed almost a black flicker effect in my central vision and a few weeks prior i noticed some floaters, i still to this day get It some times but it s very hard to explain, it is almost as though for a split second as though the bottom part of my vision is blocked out by this flicker. This started to freak me out so as soon as i could i went to an optometrist and got what i think was a pretty thorough checkup [told him i thought it may be retinal detachment or something] he did some regular tests then dilated my eyes and called me back in 10 or so minutes later, did some more testing with bright lights and ended up telling me he found nothing out of the ordinary. after getting home it took a lot longer than normal i assume for my pupils to get back to the same size [one went back to normal much earilier] After a few days i noticed that my eyesight seems very.. static like, especially when i stare at something for longer than a split second, for example looking at a blank wall or something in dull lighting makes my eyes go insane with this static like pattern and i m not sure what Is wrong!

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

You need to visit your ophthalmologist at regular intervals for examination of your eyes. Floaters can also occur due to degeneration of vitreous humor which is age related degenerative process. More serious retinal detachment needs to be ruled out. In addition, in case you notice decrease in vision, in that case also you need to consult your ophthalmologist for clinical assessment.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
