Suggest Treatment For Fluctuating BP Readings Through Out The Day

Blood pressure @2:49 today 107/79 pulse 117 after getting up from a nap. 6/21 @7:14 pm 108/84 pulse 99. 6/20 @9:42 pm 131/93 pulse 111. He is on medication for his high blood pressure. He has felt very fatigued since working in the heat last week. His blood pressure fluctuates with the bottom number usually in the mid 80s up to 95. Hardly ever below 80. What should he do? Thank you!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think he may need to reduce the dosage of antihypertensive drugs he is taking in the midday and can take an antihypertensive drug before bad.

Diuretics are preferred in the morning and amlodipine before bed. You can write me about the drugs he is taking and I can tell you how to take them.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
