Suggest Treatment For Fluctuations In BP And Pulse Rate Values

Blood pressure low in the morning (101/71, pulse 49) and high at night (122/94, pulse 62) I am an active 56 year old female in apparently good health, but I noticed recently that my blood pressure is low (101/71, pulse 49) in the morning and higher at night. I do zumba, cardio and swimming every day and don t smoke. However, I have been taking clonazepam 0.5 every night for anxiety for the last month. I also use about 10 a day 4mg nicotine lozenges to manage my cigarrette cravings. Could it be the clonazepam, too much exercise and/or the nicotine. I am only 10 lbs overweight and avoid junk food . Thank you for reading my question!

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Consult a psychiatrist and get evaluated. Avoid unwanted stress and anxiety. Relaxation techniques like yoga and meditation can help a bit.

Hope I have answered your queries. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
