my 13 year old daughter has been sick for about 3-4 weeks now. I took her to a nurse practitioner after the first week and she said she had fluid behind her ears and het throat was raw but nothing could be done. Shes beenn coughing like she has bronchitis (real hard n deep).
The symptoms seem to be related to a respiratory tract infection. I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the inflammation. I also suggest using a mucolytic such as Mucinex to treat the cough. If the symptoms continue, antibiotics are needed.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
