Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I think I may have folliculitis in my armpits but only in one of them. Anyway I could get rid of it in 4 days? I ve been trying to help it (put some aloe Vera spray on it, hot washcloth on it) but it hasn t inproved yet....I am a dancer and I was just dancing this week so maybe the sweat made it worse?
It is a kind of bacterial infection arising from hair follicles. As of now, clean the area with soap and water, apply topical antibiotics like neosporin. Make sure that your blood sugar is normal because uncontrolled blood sugar can cause complications.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
