Suggest Treatment For Food Gone Down Wind Pipe, Cough And Throat Pain

Hi. Yesterday afternoon when eating lunch food went into wrong pipe because of sudden cough. I had cough and throat pain since one week, and I had shortness of breath from past 3 days. And now that I am in this wrong pipe situation, I still have shortness of breath, and I am not sure it is because of what Now I am finding it very uncomfortable in my throat since yesterday. I tried to cough up and it did not work at all. It s been more than 24 hours. I am afraid now what happens if it goes to my lungs? Should I go to urgent care? What would they do to remove this food from wrong pipe. Thanks Megha.

with reflex cough the food particle must have come out. maximum it can cause traechiatis, or in sevior form aspiration demoniac. get lung field examined by physician. have warm saline gurgling. you might be having anxiety. wait for further development. you will be alright.
