Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had several minor gout attacks in my toes and take Allopurinol bid and indomethacin tid for 2-3 days. Overal the last several months I have also had pain on the outer length of my foot from just below the ankle almost to the toes. When I had a gout attack 2 days ago I took the gout meds and noticed that the pain on the outer edge of my foot has also gone away. Can gout occur in the long bones of the feet as well as in the toes/joints? SORRY, but I didn t know there was a fee for getting an answer. Thanks anyway

Suggest Treatment For Foot Pain While Having Gout
Hello, Gout usually happens in joints but it can also happen in long bones. I recommend using painkillers such as Ibuprofen. I also recommend using Allopurinol to reduce uric acid levels in the blood. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
