Suggest Treatment For Foraminal Stenosis

I am dealing with L5/S1 narrowing and it is extremely painful and I can t seem to find a doctor to treat me for I don t know who I can turn to for help with this painful condition. I can t seem to find the right doctor? My legs are now starting to go numb on me and I find myself falling without notice. How much worse can this get if I don t get the right trearment. I have heard several doctors call his spinal stenosis. Can you suggest something that maybe helpful for this problem. How worse can this get? Leanne Sone

1. You can use over the counter [OTC] anti inflammatory drugs along with physiotherapy, stretching exercise.

2.
. Maintain straight back posture while standing or sitting
. Avoid bending forward and lifting heavy weight
. Sleep on hard mattress
. gentle massage with rubefacient ointments.
. Lumbosacral belt to support the spine and prevent bending.
PS. If there is shooting pain it may require pelvic traction, epidural injections, myelography or surgery.

3. You should fix an appointment with an Orthopedic surgeon if there is no relief with routine treatment,if pain is very severe and there is any neurological deficiency in the legs [numbness present]

4. Ask for Investigations like: Hb%, X-ray LS-spine [for osteoarthritis, disc prolapse,TB spine, osteoporosis], gynecological opinion in females
