this is for someone else. this person had pain in the left forearm went to the er then had pain in the right forearm and returned to the er. both times given tylenol3. now he has pain the right knee. when questioned if there was any other changes in the past 2 weeks he stated no. any supplements no. any major changes or accidents. he had a fall where he fell on the left shoulder approximately this past veterans holiday, 2 weeks plus. this mystery pain are coming and with no injuries to the sites where the pain and only in those location on their own in that order. what can this be from? would this be possibly an infection, illness, or a sign for something major?
Based on the history you have shared, it can be migratory arthritis or autoimmune condition which may involve multiple sites occasionally and may recur and resolve spontaneously.
Uric acid levels should also be monitored as well as baseline autoimmune profile can be helpful including ANA ESR and CRP as well as RA factor. Meanwhile, OTC analgesics like acetaminophen or Ibuprofen can be helpful.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
