Warm welcome to Healthcaremagic.com I have evaluated your query for your father in law in details .
* Usually prostate enlargement will not give painful urination , it will only reveal frequent urination . * Considering the symptoms possibility of urethra narrowing from previous surgery in terms of stricture is more likely along with prostate .
* He must get diagnostic ascending urethrography along with ultrasound KUB and prostate for further management guidelines .
Hope this clears your doubt . Wishing him fine recovery .
