sir my mama abt 58 y.o having history of laryngeal spasm sudeen abt 8 months back ,was given i.v adrenalin and spasm releived.now tday she develop one more attack not severe given steriods feel better.her mother had same episodes occasionally.my mam is known hypertensive now not on ACE INhibitors ,regularly taking NSAID for osthioarthritis.pl suggest me where and how i should treat my mama.wht canbe given for prophlaxis most oblige
It is important to have a proper diagnosis whether this is due to laryngospasm or Angioneurotic oedema. - You mother should carry a small case all the time that contains injections of antihistamine, steroid, adrenaline and atropine - Should also have a note on the box so that any bystander can understand the problem and give her the injections immediately or shift to the nearest medical facility and give the injections - MRI after the attack settles or during if possible so that a proper diagnosis can be done - Opinion and ENT endoscopy - Identify the factors, foods, beverages that cause such changes and to stop all these altogether
