Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 48 year old Male, having a weight of 74 kgs. Frequently I am suffering from Cough and Cold. For this I have been prescribed Cefixime, Amoxycylline, Montek LC etc. I want to know which is the best test to be conducted for diagnosing the cause of getting frequent cough and cold.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of frequent cough and cold which is mainly because of respiratory tract infection and it is due to poor immunity of body and it is leading to increased susceptibility of getting infected.
Need not to worry about it. I would suggest you to visit ENT specialist once and get it examined and go for blood and sputum test to find exact cause of infection. Symptoms resembling flu and normally takes 3 days for viral fever to go. You should do warm saline gargles on daily basis and avoid cold beverages. You should take plenty of fluids and if it is bacterial infection start with proper course of antibiotics. Take proper rest without any discomfort.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
