Suggest Treatment For Frequent Stools While Taking Antibiotics
My Father - 83 years was taking antibiotics from last few days - Augmentin / Ceftum from last five days as he is operated for CA Bladder. Now from last two days he is having frequent stools, it is not watery but he is frequently going for toilet. Taken three tablets of O2 - Ornidazole & Ofloxacin but relief is not there, pl suggest should I give him - Sporlac or Imosec

According to your details, these loose stool is due to side effect of antibiotic and mainly due to Augmentin. So there will be no relif after taking Antibiotics to prevent loose stool because i is not infective.
In this case, my opinion is to change Augmentin to another same coverage antibiotics. You can take Tab Cefodoxime with Calvulanic acid twice a day or you can better consult your surgeon to change antibiotics according to condition.Mean while you can give sporolac or loperamide if you want.
