Geriatrics Specialist 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. Possible benign prostatic hypertrophy compressing on urethra.
2. Compression leading to inadequate evacuation. This leads to increased frequency and urgency of urination.
3. Meet an urologist for excision of prostate. If you dont want it excised, you can try alpha blockers, which will improve symptoms. Avoid sweets and caffeinated beverages, they cause diuresis.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
