Suggest Treatment For Frequent Vomiting And Lethargy

My 3 year old has had stomach bug for a week. Lasted 24 hours then she ate and started again-since last week. She s holding food and drinks down now and playing like normal, but then all of a sudden will get so tired and just want to lay down and seems really quiet and not want to do anything. Is this normal?..or should we be getting blood work to check for other condition?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello, Welcome to HCM.
I understand your concern.
If your child has not got fever, she is holding the food down and gradually getting to her normal appetite & food intake then there should be nothing to worry about.
Stomach bug tend to cause symptoms of lethargy & tiredness in children during convalescence.
But it should resolve in a week or so once the child is taking adequate nutritious diet.
Hope this will be helpful.
Thanks for posting your question.
