Suggest Treatment For Frozen Shoulder Causing Severe Pain In Clavicle And Back
Hello, I have been having terrible pain in my shoulder for over 5 months. I lost 40% range of motion. I was diagnosed with frozen shoulder and am being referred to a rheumatolgist. The pain travels to my clavicle and back and always hurts. My right arm also hurts at the muscle. I have had it x-rayed but no break. I am on pain meds now. I am tired of the pain and think I should go to the emergency room. My appointment for the rheumatologist is July 8th.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM. I have gone through your query. Frozen shoulder can last one year or more. Ice pack application, physiotherapy and exercises will be helpful. Analgesics can be used if pain is more. Corticosteroids like triamcinolone injection in joint will be helpful to relieve pain. A consultation with an orthopedician is well appreciated. Arthroscopic correction will be helpful in case of any adhesions. Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
