Suggest Treatment For Fungal Infection After Surgery For Phimosis
sir i am at the age 44 male i had a phymosis infection and last thursday i had my operation , then on saturday i had my dressing till then it was okay but from monday i had seeing puss and yesterday i sawed the doctor he said now the are is effected with fungel infection he gave me 2 type of tad 1zocon 150 mg 1 a day chymoral forten 3 tab a day but still it is not working 1 had 4 to 5 stich and the area i can see today morning it has cracks, can you help me YYYY@YYYY amit
If there is frank pus coming from the wound, even if it is a fungal infection (which is common after a course of antibiotics), there is likely secondary bacterial infection too. Anyhow, to see the effect of given medicines, we have to wait for around 72 hours. If not getting down by then, or fever / pain / swelling develops, kindly get back to your doctor for possible need of wound debridement and antibiotics. Meanwhile, you can apply mupirocin ointment 2-3 times a day after cleaning the wound with warm saline.
