General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Fungal infection of nails needs to be treated by oral antifungal medicine for a sufficiently long time in a suitable dose. Treatment of type 2 diabetes to keep blood sugar at normal levels would help in the cure of infection.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
