Suggest Treatment For Fungal Infection On The Thighs

Hello sir, i have fungal infection on my thighs and i am taking treatment for that. With this treatment my infection is going away. But i have to ask a question to u that is there any connection between this infection and sinusitis ? Is this infection on thighs causes sinusitis?

No, there is no connection between fungal infection in thigh and sinusitis. Fungal skin infection is caused by dermatophyte type of fungus which does not affect nasal sinuses. Fungal skin infection cause superficial skin infection. Sinusitis is caused by bacteria or virus or allergy. Fungus can cause sinusitis but it is caused by a different fungus which does not affect skin.
Advice fungus infection
1.     Continue anti-fungal treatment as suggested
2.     Keep your groin area clean and dry
3.     Wear loose cotton undergarment
4.     You can also use ketoconazole dusting powder
5.     Avoid sharing clothing, towels, or bed sheets
6.     Wash clothes in hot water with fungicidal soap
7.     Do not scratch to much
8.     Take high protein diet such as eggs and cheese to boost immunity
Advice for sinusitis
Advice
1.     Levocetirizine 5 mg daily per oral for 5 days
2.     Azithromycin 500 mg daily per oral for 5 days
3.     Ambroxol 30 mg daily per oral for 5 days
4.     Do gargle with slight warm salt water four times daily
5.     Do not eat heavily at a time. Eat smaller meals
6.     Do not lie down immediately after meal
7.     Avoid dust, smoking, alcohol, dry environment and spicy food
8.     Avoid coffee and tea after meal
9.     Investigation – X – ray PNS if sinusitis is chronic. Otherwise avoid it
10.     Consult an ENT specialist for general examination of your nasal passage
