Suggest Treatment For Gap Between Teeth And Inflamed Gum
I recently had a power chain on my upper braces as my orthodentist is attempting to close a gap inbetween my two front teeth. I already had an elongated gum between the upper teeth before braces, after my last appointment, I've noticed that my teeth have move closer and the elongated gum between the teeth looks inflamed and hurts a lot, is this normal?
As per your complain in case you that you are explaining the elongated gum can be most probably the upper labial frenulum and when is it attached too deeply reaching the gums in between the two upper incisors it can lead to spacing between two teeth (Diastema)..
The dental treatment using braces to close the gap requires that first of all the frenulum should be surgically replaced at a higher level and after healing the braces are placed..
In case the teeth are coming closer there will be more tension over the frenulum and it can get pinched between the two teeth leading to inflammation and pain..
I would suggest you to consult your orthodontist and get evaluated for the exact cause of the problem and get treated accordingly..
Hope this information helps..
