Suggest Treatment For Goiter

Hi, thyroid question. Have goiter, it grew 3 nodules which dissolved on further investigation. Blood test normal until last one, free t4 15.7, tsh .69, free t3 7.0. Can t get lift to ENT apt, should I worry or just reschedule for a couple of months time?

Hi,

Since the reference ranges for these blood tests are different from lab to lab it’s more or less impossible to answer your question properly. But generally speaking, the thyroid is a very sensitive organ and your entire body reacts very sensitive to thyroid hormones. So in medicine we never wait too long when we have the feeling that something’s wrong with the thyroid gland. That means you should have it checked rather sooner than later. That will give you the safety you need.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Alexander Davis, General & Family Physician
