Dear Dr. I am 41 years old and when I recently went for yearly check up, to my surprise i came to know that i have Grade 1 prostatomegaly. Since then i got very conscious about it. I want to know that does it have any affect on my sexual life. because now am relating my early ejaculation (experiencing since few months) may be due to this. second, i want to know whether i need to go on some medicines to counter both the problems (prostatomegaly & early ejaculation). i need to mention that i take more time when i pass the urine.. and i started going for it frequently now. please advise. regards.
* Grade 1 prostate enlargement does not need any active medical intervention at all.
* The urinary symptoms co relate more likely to urinary infection with secondary prostate inflammation and the early ejaculation has nothing to do with prostate size.
* Continue current medications and be in regular follow up with your doc for best results without getting panic for future problems.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
