Suggest Treatment For Gums And Jaw Pain

Ive had pain in my gums, jaw and ear. They treated me antibiotics prescribed by the individual dentists for one to two months, nothing worked. I had a cath scan on my face, no sinus infection. My blood tests have revealed that in the last months my kidney function has decreased. I went to the doctor again and she told me I
have pus in my lower ear and again more antibiotics and ear drops. I'm not sure what to do next

Hi..
Welcome to HCM..

Pain in jaw, gums and ear when there is no dental or sinus infection can be due to nerve induced pain like Trigeminal Neuralgia..

Trigeminal neuralgia can occur due to disturbances associated with the fifth cranial nerve that is the Trigeminal nerve..
It can be due to causes like the most common one is a large artery impinging over the nerve causing damage of the Myelin Sheath [ a protective cover over the nerve] leading to severe electric shock like pain..

Other causes are disorders like Multiple sclerosis, tumour compressing the nerve, physical trauma etc..
Consult a Neurologist and get evaluated and investigation like MRI Scan can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
You can be advised neurotic pain killers like Carbamazipine, Gabapantin etc..
At times surgical procedure like Microvascular decompression, balloon compression, Gama knife radiosurgery can be advised..

Hope this helps..

Regards..
