sir,I am 23 year old and I am suferring for gynacomastia for 9-10years.and the last month i meet a cosmetic surgeon and performed surgery. after surgery the glandular tissue is again activated and being a small hard lump behind the nipple.so pls tell me the right treatment to permanent cure the gynecomastia. thnxx
You seem to have developed recurrent gynecomastia apparently due to incomplete excision (surgical removal) of the glandular breast tissue. In addition to incomplete excision, regrowth is also possible if the underlying causes of your gynecomastia not detected and treated accordingly. You are advised to consult a skilled cosmetic surgeon for further evaluation and possible use of tamoxifen tablets. However, surgical correction is more effective than medical therapy.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
