Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am experiencing hair loss and not sure what to focus on as the cause. I am 40 years old, white female. I had gastric bypass 6 years ago and lost 100 lbs. I gained back a little after having my third child 3.5 years ago. This past September, I started back watching what I eat and walking every day. I ve lost 40 lbs since then. I also deal with anemia and have heard that can lead to hair loss as well. It s not falling out in clumps but definitely shows up when I comb my hair and on my pillow when I wake up..(6-8 strands). It s just concerning because I can tell what used to take wrapping a ponytail around twice to get all my hair up, now it takes four times...I m not sure what to do.

Suggest Treatment For Hair Loss And Anemia
Hello, It may be due to fungal infection. For that you can apply clotrimazole powder locally. For itching you can take tablet loratidine. Wash your hair regularly. Maintain proper hygiene. For anemia you can take tablet ferrous sulphate after physician consultation. Hope I have answered your query... Let me know if I can assist you further.
