Suggest Treatment For Hair Loss For A 26-year-old Male
Hello Doctor, I have come to notice about the hairloss all of a sudden (undri). It has developed on back side of head and is approximately about 5-6mm diameter. I am Male, 26 years. My concerns are 1. how to cure it and prevent it from spreading or happening again. 2. possible causes of this problem. Thanks in advance
You should get it examined by a dermatologist to look for signs of alopecia areata and differentiation between local fungal infections. It may need topical minoxidil or corticosteroids application as well as anti-fungals if signs suggest so. Don't touch it repeatedly to avoid the spread. The consultation should be sought as soon as possible as it can lead to scarring alopecia which may be difficult to reverse
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
