Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, My leg was a twisted on last monday. X-ray report says it is a hair-line fracture. I am unable to walk even. I want to know what needs to be done to get it cured. What will be the charge for it if plaster is needed? How much time will it take to get cured?
The treatment is conservative, and let your bone heal. If you were my patient I ask you to use crutches to keep weight off an injured foot or leg. Also, I would ask you to cast. I can take six to eight weeks to completely heal from a hairline fracture. During this time it is important to let your leg heal, eat a balanced diet, relax, don't do sports that puts pressure on the leg. Make sure you follow-up with your treating doctor.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ahmad Nazzal, General & Family Physician
