Hello. Thanks for asking from HCM.
I can understand your concern. To rule out any doubts, we should observe signs which can suggest dangerous head injury
: vomiting
: bleed through nose/ear/throat
:
loss of consciousness for more than 5 minutes
: decreasing consciousness
: fits
: persistent headache not responding to painkillers
If you develop any of above signs, you must
consult Doctor. He might advise CT head to rule out
fracture or brain bleed. Fracture is usually managed conservatively while brain bleed may be evacuated surgically.
If no above sign, you can wait and observe yourself at home. You can follow few tips to relieve pain
: Apply icepacks at injury site
: You can take painkiller like
Diclofenac sodium after proper prescription
: Avoid pressure at injury site
: Keep head at higher level than chest
: If still no relief, you can consult doctor.
Hope it will help you. Thanks.
Take care.
