Suggest Treatment For Headache, Dizziness And Nausea
My husband has had a headache for 4 days, he has vomited a few times a day for the last 4 days and generally its in the morning. He also feels weak and dizzy. I took him to the GP yesterday who gave him a blood test and a needle to stop the dizziness and nausea but he felt that it didn t do anything and slept from 5:30pm to 5:30am the next day. Im not sure if I take him to the hospital today or back to the Drs?
Hi Thanks for posting on HCM The symptoms he presents could be cause by a number of medical conditions. However, the exact cause may only be known after a series of laboratory investigations. The symptoms point to a sepsis that may be of digestive origin, typhoid or malaria.I will however encourage you go back to the hospital and take a blood culture/sensitivity test, stool exam, a malaria test if he stays in or has visited a malaria zone lately. He may take paracetamol for headache, an anti-emetic like vogalene if vomiting continues and some multivitamins to boost him up. The etiologic management will be handled by your Doctor after his tests results. Hope this will help Best regards
