Suggest Treatment For Headache, Dizziness And Weakness While Having High Blood Pressure
I work in a factory and the temps are very high due to heat wave......and i already have high blood pressure ....symptoms include head ache, dizziness, weakness or the feeling of being tired.....my joints hurt..especially my feet and knees.....and I m concerned that the temps could make my symptoms worse or could it cause a stroke or a heart attack?
Working in high-temperature environments while having high blood pressure may be dangerous and puts you at risk of serious conditions such as stroke or heart attack.
It is very important that you discuss your work conditions with the doctor of the company and that you are placed in a cooler environment. Meanwhile, the symptoms you mention may be due to dehydration and electrolyte loss. Make sure you do drink plenty of water to make up for the fluids lost with sweat. Also, you may get electrolytes in the form of sports drinks or oral rehydration solutions.
I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.
Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj General and Family Physician
