Suggest Treatment For Headache, Eye Pain, Lethargy And Nausea
I had a tampon in my vagina for almost 3 weeks without knowing it until I started to develop a foul smell during sex and bleeding. I was feeling a little woozy so I went to my gyno and he removed it. He prescribed me metronidazole. I ve taken it now for 5 days. I m having horrible side effects like headache, eye pain, nausea, very lethargic, itching and feels like I m getting poked with pins and needles. Is it ok for me to stop taking it now? The side effects are awful and killing me at work.

Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Metronidazole should be given for ideally 6-7 days continuously to complete the treatment schedule.
However, of you are not able to tolerate the side effects of the drug, then you can take alternative drug like secnidazole with very less side effects.
