Hello. Thanks for asking from HCM.
I can understand your concern. It seems that your husband had significant head injury. He is having headache along with tiredness and wondering eyes. It can be because of
alcohol intoxication or due to direct
brain damage. Head injury in an alcoholic patient must be carefully observed and managed.
You should immediately consult ER. Meanwhile observe for sign and symptoms of severe head injury like vomiting, decreasing consciousness or
loss of consciousness, bleeding through nose/ear/throat, fits, focal deficit, slurring of speech.
At home, you should keep him in sitting position. In case of vomiting, turn his head to either side. Try to keep him awake. Avoid
self medication. If you have electric manometer at home, measure his BP and feel pulse. It will also direct you in judging the condition.
At ER, he may be advised CT scan of head to rule out skull
bone fracture, any clot in brain. He may be given treatment for alcohol.
Thanks. Hope it will help you. Take care.
