I hit my head on side of pool doing backstroke and didn t realise I was at the end, am a good swimmer and just felt a bit silly and big ouch. After couple of minutes got on with swimming. Few hours later headache started. That was Friday, now Monday, headache ever since, taking paracetamol and ibuprofen, headache moderate pain relief doesn t get rid of it. Interfering with sleep. Don t feel great but no vomiting or unsteadiness or slurred speech etc. Age 47 female. Due to get back in pool today but not sure that s a good idea. Could manage it but headache is constant and bothering me. Normal and get on with it or ...not?

Suggest Treatment For Headache Post An Accident
Hello, It could be a contusion or concussion. As a first line management you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief. If symptoms persists better to consult a neurologist and plan for an MRI scan. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
