Suggest Treatment For Headache, Sore Throat, Joint Pain And Fever

severe headache for 2 weeks starting in the neck and running up the back of the head; diagnosed with occipital neuralgia and given a shot of toradol along with a steriod shot. Also given prescription for amitriptyline and Lyrica. After the first day, started having dry mouth and sore throat. Morning of day two, knee joints started hurting and by the end of the day it was painful to walk. Day 3, severe joint pain. Stopped taking Lyrica, didn t help and 4th day stopped taking the amitriptyline. Day six and the joint pain is excruciating, head still hurts and now have a fever of 100.2.

Hi,

First of all, it's sad to know what you had been going through lately. Based on the history you have shared, you may need to get your blood test like complete blood count and ASO titres.

Try taking acetaminophen for fever and pain. but the symptoms you mentioned are less likely due to the drugs you are currently taking. However, the infection needs to be ruled out.
