Over the last few years, I have been to my doctor complaining of headaches, stiffness in neck and shoulders, fatigue, sinus congestion, pain that moves around my body, itching, unable to sleep, IBS, etc. I was suggested a remedy for each. One morning I awoke with such pain in my body-I could not lift or turn my head and was experiencing dizziness. I was unable to get out of bed or walk without excruciating pain. I mad two trips to the ER where I lay in pain waiting for a doctor who didn t have any idea what was wrong. I was prescribed muscle relaxers and given a shot. After doctoring several weeks with no relief, I was advised to get physical therapy because my muscles were weak . I thought this was going to kill me and stopped after several weeks of no relief. I was sent to an RA doctor who did xrays and said I had the beginnings of RA. After more than a year of treatments, pills and doctor appointments, I discovered an item online about Candida. The symptoms described mine perfectly. When I spoke to my RA doctor, he insisted it was RA but if the Candida diet was helping, then he saw no harm in continuing it. Why do doctors not recognize this disease? It has taken several years out of my life and the doctors will not acknowledge it.
