Hello,
You have history of
headaches and TMJ. To get relieve from pain and discomfort you are suggested to take soft food or liquid food. Take the help of a physiotherapist and do stretch exercises,
heat therapy may be helpful. TMJ pain may trigger headache. You may visit a
dentist and get custom-made splints to be fitted over your lower or upper teeth to ease your discomfort.
Sleeping on your side may help ease pain. You can take NSAIDS,
Combiflam or
Naproxen, one SOS when needed, after food. Muscle relaxants and anti-depressants may help but before taking these medicines get clinically examined by a GP / dentist. To avoid headache, cut on triggering factors like extremes of temperature or weather changes, strong smells, pollution, oily food, untimely food intakes, stressful lifestyles, etc. Avoid addictions if any.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
