Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Good evening doctor, I want to ask a cardiologist if a heart patient with cardiovascular problems has a headache and is red in the face the whole day, is that a sign of high blood pressure or another potentially life-threatening problem. He has an enlarged heart and was born with a problem in the right vulvular.
Headache can be caused by a very high number of reasons, eg. musculoskeletal, endocrine, ocular, intracranial causes, psychological and naturally also from high blood pressure. For any patient with these symptoms I highly recommend to see a doctor for an evaluation including a check of blood pressure. Possibly it is necessary to see a cardiologist for an echocardiography as the patient has known cardiovascular disease.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Martin Christian Harmsen, General & Family Physician
