Suggest Treatment For Headaches And High Blood Pressure
I was given a EKG at the ER and after my results the specialist requested that I get a spinal tap due to my unknown severe headaches. He stated he determined a small brain bleed also high blood pressure which I ve never before had any problems with my blood pressure? Could this be serious?
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. Yes, high blood pressure, headache are serious. Uncontrolled hypertension can itself cause headache. You are also having minor bleeding in brain. Uncontrolled blood pressure can worsen this bleeding and in turn worsen headache. So better to consult doctor and start antihypertensive drugs. Along with drugs, lifestyle modifications like weight loss, salt restriction in diet and quitting smoking if habitual are also important. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
