Suggest Treatment For Headaches, Cold Sweats And Tiredness
Hi. I have been fighting some sort of cold virus the last week. Headache, cold sweats, body aches, slight temp, tiredness. I was feeling better yesterday morning but after lunch my groin started to hurt and the flu symptoms came back quickly. Is this normal? I have started taking a new medical lately too and wonder if it is side effects?
From the history you have given, your symptoms have been caused due to sinusitis, flu or a respiratory tract infection. Any other associated symptoms like running nose, sneezing, headache or fever will help in identifying the cause. Any of the above symptoms without fever can be managed at home.Steam inhalation and Betadine gargle will help in reducing the discomfort.
Pain killers and antihistamines will reduce headache and sinusitis related symptoms. X ray Paranasal sinuses can be done to rule out sinusitis. Blood tests may be required if fever persists for more than 3 days and such prolonged fever should be taken seriously and treated by a physician.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
