Suggest Treatment For Headaches, Migraines And Shortness Of Breath

I have been suffering from headaches, migraines, shortness of breath(sometimes its like I have to remind myself to breath), waking at night due to not being able to breath, and fatigue throughout the day. I am currently seeing a neurologist and they didnt see anything with an MRI. The issue with breathing is occuring both in the day and in the night, so it isnt consistent with sleep apnea. Please any thoughts or advice is appreciated.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Noted you history about headache, migraine and shortness of breath, consulted a Neurologist, normal MRI - brain. Well, all these symptoms may not be related as shortness of breath or so can be due to many reason and thus needs a proper clinical evaluation, examination and inveestigations as follows:
Pulmonary function tests.
CT scan of abdomen.
Tests of blood, urine and stool.
An opinion of a Pulmonologist.

All this will lead to a proper diagnosis and thus lead to a proper management. Broncho-dilators in the form of inhalar, tablets can help a lot if there is asthma. COPD is a chronic disease and may not be amendable treatment and cure, needs proepr preventive management as well as medicatoins. Tuberculosis or other lung infections will need a specific management. Chest physiotherapy and exercises.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
