Suggest Treatment For Headaches While On Amlodipine And Venlafaxine

I think I may have possibly taken all of my medications twice this morning at 7:30 AM. 2 10 mg amlodipine, 2 10 mg lisinopril, and 2 150 mg Venlafaxine XR. I have a pretty big headache tonight, currently at 7:30 PM. But nothing else major is going on. Can low blood pressure cause a major headache?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Check your blood pressure as high blood pressure can be a cause for severe headaches.

If BP is normal, other causes like tension headaches must be ruled out. As a first-line management, you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
